Spokane is home to many generous and engaged companies that give back to their communities by supporting non-profit programs, and we appreciate each one of them and – YOU – for being such a positive force in the community.

Our mission at STAHR is to provide short-term-after-hours rescue service to lost/found/displaced pets during non-business hours of the local shelters. Our primary goal is to reunite pets with their people prior to transporting to a local shelter. STAHR has served Spokane County since 2019.  In 2023 alone, STAHR has received over 200 calls from the community needing help with locating owners of pets found in Spokane County. Through our social media campaigns and short-term fostering, STAHR has reunited 73% of these lost pets with their people.  The remaining 27% have been cared for by the community members and/or taken to a local shelter.

We are committed to ensuring that our community members know and support those who support STAHR. STAHR is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization solely funded on donations. Our WA nonprofit EIN is 84-2637394 and a copy of the EIN Confirmation Letter will be provided as needed. A donation receipt will be provided for each level of sponsorship and your contribution will be tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
