STAHR (Short-Term After Hours Rescue) is looking for passionate volunteers to help reunite pets with their people specifically at our Microchip Clinics! If you're an animal lover and can spare some time after hours, we need your support to assist in bringing lost pets home where they belong.
There are 2 positions available at our Microchip Clinics:
Microchip Clinic-Microchipper=This volunteer position would be physically implanting the microchip. Training is provided.
And
Microchip Clinic-Registrar= This volunteer position would be registering the microchip for the pet owner. Training is provided. A smartphone will be required.

2024 Benefit Auction
Join us at the 2024 Annual Benefit Auction hosted by Short Term After Hours Rescue (STAHR) on June 10th at Craft & Gather in Spokane Valley, WA. From 5:30 to 9:00 PM, enjoy an evening filled with excitement as we showcase a cornhole tournament, a silent auction, and a raffle to raise funds for our cause. National Pet Month with STAHR and Spokane City Hall
STAHR is thrilled to partner with Spokane’s Mayor Lisa Brown and City Council Member Michael Cathcart to provide the essential service of microchipping pets by offering a no-cost Microchipping Clinic Friday April 26th from 12-3pm.

A Beautiful Success Story!
A kind human took sweet Lilly in on Friday. They later contacted STAHR. They explained they were able to locate a microchip, but the microchip was un-registered. Our wonderful foster, Freddie, took Lilly in. She was provided a lot of love and care during her stay. On Sunday night, we were able to reunite Lilly with her family! Her little human missed sleeping with her so much! Lilly was also microchipped by STAHR, just in case she ever slips out again.

STAHR Microchip Clinic - Spokane, WA
STAHR is having a Microchip Clinic on Saturday, February 24th at 10:30AM. The clinic will take place at DogTown Company in Spokane, WA.
If you need your dog/cat microchipped or know of anyone that does, please visit our Facebook event!
Cost: suggested donation of $15
Not sure if your pet is microchipped? No problem! We can scan your pet and help update the microchip information, if necessary.
EXCITED TO EXPAND IN SPOKANE COUNTY
STAHR is excited to expand our horizons in Spokane County. We are humbly asking for any leads on a reliable & reasonable vehicle such as an older ice cream truck, food truck, grooming van, etc. that we can use for a STAHR Mobile Microchipping Clinic.
As we run on donations only, we are looking for reasonably-priced options to move into this next chapter in serving the pets & their people of Spokane County.
If you know of anyone that is looking to make a charitable donation of a vehicle or simply give funds to help us achieve this goal, email stahrescue@gmail.com. STAHR is a 50(c)(3) non-profit organization and any donations made to STAHR can potentially be used as a charitable tax donation. (Please consult with a tax professional for further info regarding how this can benefit you next tax season)
